Our wonderful heritage town of Gulgong appeared on the paper $10 note until 1993 alongside the Australian poet, Henry Lawson. This is why our Motel has been named The Ten Dollar Town Motel and boasts both history and charm in this character filled country town.

The Ten Dollar Town Motel is ideal for the single traveller, couples and families plus large coach groups. The motel is independently owned and a member of the Golden Chain group. 

The motel is centrally located in the heart of the historic Gulgong township, easy walking distance from the Henry Lawson Centre, the Pioneer Museum, the oldest Opera House in Australia and many other untouched country town treats.

Phoebe's Restaurant

The original 1904 building now incorporates both the motel reception and Phoebe’s Licensed Restaurant which offers an extensive range of delicious food, serving both breakfast and dinner. We also have a wonderful selection of local wines from the infamous Mudgee Region.
